Punjab government

Author: Daily Times

Sir: Sugar, that was a luxury for the lower middle class for many years is now out of their reach. The situation is graver in Punjab because of the Punjab government’s mismanagement, i.e. their inability to handle the sugar crisis when they knew that it is more serious this time. PML-N’s MPAs and MNAs are not sincere with the people of their constituencies who vote them into power. In Lahore, the hub of PML-N, the situation was very strange. The government conducted 734 raids, detected 10 cases of overcharging, and imposed a fine of Rs 23,500 on the six people involved, but the problem still persists. Can anyone from the government please tell the people where to buy sugar at Rs 62 per kg and put an end to this constant drama? In around 21 districts of Punjab, as said by the government, sugar was sold at Rs 62 per kg, which was a complete lie and according to the statistics in Lahore, sugar was sold at an average price of Rs 71 per kg and in Toba Tek Singh, sugar was sold at an average price of Rs 70.5 per kg. The Sindh government is more sincere with its people compared to the Punjab government, at least in the case of sugar, if not in any other.
