Sir: I dread thinking about what will happen to Afghanistan and, as a result, Pakistan once US troops leave our neighbouring country. We have an example of the shape of things to come in Iraq, a country still reeling, some three years after US troops left it. Bomb blasts occur on a daily basis there with civil war erupting in Al Anbar province. It seems this will happen in Afghanistan too, with major tremors being felt in Pakistan also. God help us.
