Sir: It is an undeniable reality that newspapers play a pivotal role in defining and designing the future of a nation, since these are an important source of acquiring knowledge and information. Having said that, I must state my problem of finding it a Herculean task to get access to decent English newspapers in my area. It is a region where newspapers are scarce and a complete novelty. In fact, only one English daily is available, that too does not get delivered on a time schedule. Here I won’t be wrong in saying that it seems entirely outlandish that Turbat is ignored in terms of newspapers. Furthermore, I’m a student and my studies would really be helped if I could get my hands on a decent regular supply of quality newspapers. If the system continues in this manner, we can’t hope to move towards improvement in our culture and education. I would like to request the government to make an attempt towards providing the people of Turbat with newspapers.
