Train runs over two in Larkana

LARKANA: Railway crossing claimed two lives near here on Tuesday morning. According to details, two persons were in their Toyota GLI car and when they reached Noohani railway crossing, Larkana, they suddenly saw the Khushhal Khan Khattak express train which ran over their car killing both on the spot. The bodies were shifted to casualty of Chandka Medical College Hospital for fulfilling legal formalities by Baqapur police station police.

On hearing the news, the residents of nearby villages reached the Hospital and identified both as 55-years Muhammad Ismail son of Ali Murad Janwari, resident of Kamo Mangi village, near Larkana and another was identified as son of his sister 27-year Aftab Malgani son of Khawand Dino, resident of Gajanpur locality.

The family told newsmen that both stayed for a night at the village and in the morning left for their jobs adding that when they were crossing Noohani Railway tracks they suddenly saw the train coming fast which smashed into their car and dragged it for sometime on the railway line. They further said that the railway crossing is without gates since its establishment and it always remains open for everyone where no railway employee has so far been posted. The bodies were handed over to the family after postmortem. SHO Ghulam Abbas Bullo said that police is probing the matter further as no case has so far been filed.
