Players from six cities to join basketball training camp

LAHORE –PakistanBible Society is organisinga seven-day basketball training camp – in connection with the Independence Day of Pakistan – fromMonday (August 3 to August 9) at the Cathedral High School near Old Anarkali.

The training camp will be organisedin collaboration with the Pakistan Basketball Federation and the Peace Ambassadors Society, according to a press release, issued by the society. The release said that players were participating from Lahore, Sialkot, MianChunu, Sheikhupura, Sargodha and Faisalabad.

– Promotionof basketball–

A teamwill be selected for matches in Islamabad, Wah Cant, Taxila and Peshawar, where Koinonia– Love Pakistan Basketball team will play matches with the Basketball Counsel of Islamabad, Pakistan Army and the Pakistan Air Force.The purpose of this camp and tour is to promote peace, love, harmony and promotion of basketball in Pakistan through the matches.

– Alban will be team coach–

Duringthe matches, special prayers will be offered for prosperity and unity of Pakistan.Pakistan Bible SocietyGeneral SecretaryAnthony AijazLamuelis patron of this camp and the team. AjmalTahir Alban will be team coach while Pervez Younas will work as assistant coach.

Besidesreferee Imtiazul HassanandmanagerSimon Jacob, Victor Nisar and Irfan Francis will work as camp and tour coordinator in the organising committee.
