ECP announces schedule of KP local bodies election

ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has issued the schedule of local bodies elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

According to media reports, the ECP has announced to hold local bodies polls in KP on May 30. According to the schedule, candidates contesting local government election will file their nomination papers from April 13-17. Objections against nomination papers are to be filed on April 19 and the scrutiny of nomination papers will take place from April 20-26. While appeals against acceptance and rejection of nominations papers will be filed from April 26-28 which will be dealt from April 29 to May 4.
Contesting candidates can withdraw their nomination papers on May 5 and final list of contesting candidates will be issued on May 6.
The local bodies election would be held across province on May 30.
