QUETTA: As many as three bodies of kidnapped Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) workers were found in Turbat on Sunday.

Unidentified terrorists had kidnapped four FWO labourers two days ago. Three of them were killed and thrown in a deserted area while one of them was released, said security sources.

According to FC spokesman, security forces launched a search operation in the area and arrested nine members of banned terrorist outfit Baloch Republican Army for their involvement in the kidnappings.

Turbat DPO Imran Qureshi told reporters some passersby spotted the bodies in Dasht.

Police shifted the bodies to District Headquarters Hospital. The bodies were identified as that of Juma Khan, Yahya Khan and Gul Khan.

Turbat Deputy Commissioner Mumtaz Ahmed said the deceased belonged to Waziristan and Quetta.

Separately, security forces arrested as many as four suspected terrorists of banned terrorist organisation Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). The forces also destroyed two of their hideouts in a search operation in the Kakal area of Zhob District. According to the Balochistan Frontier Corps spokesman, FC and intelligence agencies carried out the search operation following a tip-off in the Kakal area of the district.

“Four terrorists of TTP were arrested in the search operation,” he said, adding that two hideouts were also destroyed.

The terrorists have been shifted to an undisclosed location for further interrogation.
