What happened to Kasur?

Author: Daily Times

Sir: It is a travesty that the most heinous and despicable crime to emerge from Pakistan in the last decade has all but lost coverage in the mainstream media. The Kasur paedophilia case was shocking and vile to its core with many involved in exploiting children in awful ways. Children as young as six were subjected to absolute horrors but the perpetrators have not all been caught. When news of the case broke we saw politicians come out in denial of the case, citing that the number of victims had been exaggerated, betraying that the criminals had some sort of political backing. Now the media has also decided to step away from the Kasur scandal.
When will these children receive justice? When will we become compassionate as a nation? When will we ever actually do something for the betterment of our innocents?
