PEMRA suspends BOL TV licences

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA), in its meeting on Wednesday, approved the suspension of both Licences of BOL TV – BOL News and BOL Entertainment – till the fulfillment of all legal and codal formalities.

The decision was taken during the 106th meeting of PEMRA. Four newly notified members from provinces also attended their maiden meeting. Executive member/acting PEMRA chairman, in his welcome note to the new members, expressed hope that they would work towards greater understanding of the electronic media laws and the authority would benefit from the wealth of their experience and their contribution would help to make organisation more strong and robust in discharging its regulatory functions.
