Reasonable public transport

Author: Daily Times

Sir: Office-goers and people in general living in Sea View and its adjoining areas in Karachi are in dire need of a reasonable and decent public transport system as a better and preferred option to reach their offices in Clifton and I I Chundrigar Road. Clifton is still a convenient place for car parking but the people who have their offices on I I Chundrigar Road find it extremely difficult to park their cars safely. Some of the organisations have provided better parking spaces to their employees where they can park their cars but most of them are confronted with the parking issue.

The green bus service was launched in the past but the project could not go for long. Green buses used to pass through the main Beach Avenue at Sea View in the past but they disappeared after a few months of operation. A similar service should be started again. I am sure many residents of Sea View and its adjoining areas would prefer to travel by this public transport and as a result, less cars would come on the roads. The authorities concerned are requested to pay attention to this suggestion.
