KANDHKOT: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan on Wednesday said young people are either committing suicide or becoming criminals due to unemployment.

Addressing a public gathering in Kandhkot, Kaptaan said 45 percent of children faced malnutrition in Pakistan because rulers were imposing taxes on people.

The gathering was organised by Ali Akbar Bangwar.

Criticising Nawaz Sharif, the skipper said Nawaz had practiced for six hours before going to Saudi Arabia, but he was not invited for a speech because the world knows that a criminal investigation is underway against him.

“I advised Nawaz that he should resign from his office during investigation and it is first time in history that criminal investigation is underway against a prime minister.”

He added that if the PTI would have not taken to the streets then the Panama leaks would not have surfaced.

“The people of Sindh were suffering from a severe shortage of drinking water, development works, merit and other facilities while after a passage of 20 years no development is seen in the province because rulers are busy in their ulterior motives.”

He said the PPP government has failed to provide basic amenities to people of Sindh despite ruling the province several times.

Talking about curbs on social media, he said, “Rulers could not shut down social media because the people are well aware of the actions of the rulers and now nation would not tolerate any fraud.”

Former chief minister Liaquat Ali Jatoi, who recently joined PTI, announced that the PTI will reopen cases of slain PPP chairwoman Benazir Bhutto and Mir Murtaza Bhutto after winning the upcoming general elections. “Imran Khan must take oath as the prime minister to serve the people of Pakistan.”

The central, provincial and divisional leaders, including Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Dr Arif Alvi, Jahangir Khan Tareen, Haleem Adil Shaikh, Umar Soomro, Raaz Khan Pathan, Azam Brohi and Ali Akbar Bangwar were present in the public gathering.
