Goodbye Younas Khan

Author: Daily Times

Sir: Younas Khan represented Pakistan for almost 15 years in different formats of cricket. His contributions to the game of cricket are everlasting. He proved himself one of the best players in international cricket. Unfortunately, his sudden retirement from ODI cricket has dismayed his fans. He was the only captain under whose leadership Pakistan became the champion in the 2009 Twenty20 World Cup. Second, he is the leading Pakistani batsman who crossed 10,000 runs in test matches and he is included among the batsmen who scored more than 300 runs in an innings. The services of the veteran batsman will long be remembered.
