LAHORE – Security officials at Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore foiled an effort on Monday to smuggle heroin abroad.
According to details, the security authorities apprehended a woman who was trying to smuggle 500g heroin to Sri Lanka.The heroin is said to be worth more than Rs50 lac and was filled in capsules.
The woman was given in the custody of Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) for further interrogation.
In the past two weeks, two such attempts were also thwarted by the ANF at the airport.
