Consumers protest low gas pressure

RAWALPINDI: The residents of different localities along Murree road held a protest demonstration against low gas pressure on Friday. The residents protested for low gas pressure and said that they are unable to prepare meals and are compelled to buy chapati from markets. The protestors demanded petroleum minister to take prompt action for restoration of gas pressure. People residing in different areas of district are facing acute shortage of gas and difficulties due to low gas pressure. SNGPL Regional GM M Zahoor said that gas pressure would improve in few days as steps are being taken to resolve the problem. The gap between demand and supply is constantly increasing, he added. He urged consumers not to use gas heaters and geysers so that regular supply of gas could be ensured for the domestic users.
