ISLAMABAD – Senate Chairman and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Mian Raza Rabbani on Friday urged the government to take both houses of the Parliament into confidence on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.

During question hour session, Rabbani asked the Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Pervaiz Rashid that it would be better for the government that the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif give a statement on CPEC in the Parliament as both the houses were in session.

It will be better for democracy that the government should take all decisions in the Parliament, Rabbani remarked. Senator Pervaiz while agreeing with the chairman said that the prime minister has convened a meeting on CPEC in which Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervaiz Khatak was also participating.
