SWABI – Family of the martyr professor of Charsadda incident demanded resignation from Khyber Pakhtukhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak as he visited the family in Sawabi to offer his condolence on Friday.
According to the details, the chief minister visited the family of martyr professor Hamid Hussain – who embraced martyrdom fighting bravely with terrorists during the brutal attack on Bacha Khan University – started protesting against Khattak.
The angry family brought little children of Hamid Hussain in front of the chief minister and asked him to give them justice. They demanded to resign from the office and “stop playing with the lives of innocent people”.
At least 21 people died in an armed assault on Bacha Khan University in Charsadda.
34-year-old Assistant Professor Syed Hamid Hussain received his PhD degree from Brussels University of UK. He also described seeing the chemistry professor holding a pistol and firing at the attackers. “Then we saw him fall down and as the terrorists entered the (registrar) office we ran away,” eye witnesses of the incident told journalists.
