Maldivian foreign minister to arrive in Islamabad today

ISLAMABAD – Maldives Foreign Minister Dunya Maumoon will arrive in Islamabad today on a three-day official visit.

Besides calling on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, she will also hold meetings with Adviser on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz and Special Assistant on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi. In these meetings, Pakistan and the Maldives will review the various aspects of their bilateral relations.

Sartaj Aziz will host lunch in honour of the foreign minister and her delegation. Pakistan and Maldives enjoy close and cordial relations. The relations are based on mutual trust – common faith and understanding. Pakistan and the Maldives have been actively cooperating with each other at the regional as well as the multilateral fora.
