TOKYO – The parent company of All Nippon Airways said Friday its nine-month net profit jumped 40 percent as its international business grew, while it also said it would buy three Airbus A380s for $1.25 billion.
ANA Holdings’ net profit in the April-December period rose to 73.3 billion yen ($606 billion), as carriers also benefited from lower fuel costs and Japan saw a surge in tourism owing to a weak yen.
The company also revised up its full-year profit forecast to 65 billion yen from 52 billion yen.
