Palestine grand mufti to visit Pakistan after 78-year

LAHORE – The Palestine grand mufti will visit Pakistan in Feburary – on the invitation by Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC) Chairman Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi, Daily Times reported.

Tahir Ashrafi disclosed that the grand mufti will also attend ‘Message of Islam Conference’ as the chief guest. He said that ‘Message of Islam Conference’ will present an explicit and practical mechanism and way out for elimination of terrorism, extremism and sectarian violence.

Earlier – Jerusalem Grand Mufti al-Husseini visited in 1938 trip to Lahore – where he met Muhammad Ali Jinnah and other Pakistan Movement leaders.
