Kashmir Solidarity Day observed in AJK

MIRPUR (AJK) – People of Azad Jammu & Kashmir were observing Kashmir Solidarity Day on Friday with devotion to express solidarity with Kashmiri brethren fighting against the tyranny of Indian forces and their occupation in Indian held Jammu & Kashmir.

The Day was being marked with different programs, seminars and day-long rallies, making human chains at different enerty points of AJK including Mangla, Kohala, Dhalkot, Azad Pattan, Bhimbher and Holar. Rallies took out across AJK, including Muzaffarabad, Mirpur, Kotli, Bhimbher, Rawalakot, Bagh, Palandri, Haveili, Hattiyan and Neelam Valley to express solidarity with their oppressed brethren of Indian Held Kashmir. To giving the honour of the martyrs of Kashmir and homage to the valiant struggle of Kashmiris, one-minute silence was observed at 10 am.

A large number of people led by the Member National Assembly (MNA) of PML-N, Chudhary Khadim Hussain along with former member Punjab Assembly Chudhar Nadeem Khadim reached at Mangla Bridge to express solidarity with the people of Indian Held Kashmir by making human chain.Addressing the gathering MNA Khadim Hussain said “the hearts of the people of Pakistan and Kashmir beats in unison.”

Pakistan would continue its morally, politically and diplomatic support to the people of Jammu & Kashmir in their right of freedom till the end, he added. Speakers demanded that India should immediately stop human rights violations in occupied Kashmir and must give the right of freedom to the people of Kashmiris according to the UN charter. A group of motorcyclists from Multan also reached Mangla Bridge to join the Kashmir Solidarity Day program and to express solidarity with the people of Jammu & Kashmir.Special programmes were being aired from all Radio Stations and AJK TV to highlight the struggle of Kashmiris, besides to expressing solidarity with Kashmiris.
