ATC acquits Abid, Sanaullah in PTI worker’s murder case

FAISALABAD – The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) has acquitted all persons accused in murder case of political worker of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) due to reconciliation between the parties concerned.

On Saturday, the court took up for hearing the murder case of Haq Nawaz, who was killed during sit-in by the PTI. During the hearing of the case, Attaullah, brother of the victim, filed a paper before the court related to reconciliation between family members and the accused persons in this case.The court issued orders for releasing all the 350 accused persons including Punjab Minister for Law Rana Sanaullah and State Minister for Water and Power AbidSher Ali.

–Case against PML-N leader –

In Islamabad, a case has been registered in Kohsar Police Station against Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) leader Sheikh Rohail Asghar over alleged murder of a security guard. The case has been registered against the leader by widow of security guard Shaheen Bibi.

On August 10, 2015, Asghar allegedly hit a security man at footpath who lost his life. The widow filed an application in an additional court of Additional Session Judge Ata Rabbani, saying the accused is powerful that’s why no action has been taken against him on her report.

Asghar’s driver Muhammad Zulfiqar informed the court that he was driving the vehicle at the time of the accident on which the court directed the police station to register a case in this regard. Following the court orders, police registered a case under Section 71, 279 and 320.
