Special guideline to be uploaded at police website regarding women’s rights

LAHORE – A special guideline will be uploaded at the police website for women folk with a view to provide them complete information about their rights and procedure to get immediate help from their concerned police station in case of any untoward incident and crime.

This was decided in a meeting by the Punjab Inspector General of Police Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera held at Central Police Office here on Friday to review the progress of the up-gradation process of the Punjab police’s website.

DIG Headquarters, B A Nasir, DIG IT Shahid Hanif, DIG Investigation, Muhammad Azam, Director Computer Bureau, Shaheen Khalid and other senior police officers of CPO were also present in a meeting.

It was decided in a meeting that complete information will be uploaded at the website regarding Alimony, succession rights of the women and procedure how they can get immediate justice and relief in case of any injustice and street crimes, domestic violence, acid attacks, kidnapping and rape, respectively.

The meeting also decided that all details of recovered cars and motorcycles including their brands, model, colour and engine number will be uploaded so that the effectees can get information about their stolen vehicles. Photographs with brief crime history of the kidnappers, rapist, domestic servants and drug traffickers will also be uploaded at the website so that the individuals and departments can get basic information before hiring, decided by IGP.
