Tight security ordered across Larkana Division for Ramazan

LARKANA: A security plan has been prepared by the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP), Larkana Range, Abdullah Shaikh, for the holy month of Ramazan throughout Larkana division.

According to the plan, 3812 police officers and officials have been deployed in five districts of the division who will ensure peace and tranquility in the entire division including bordering areas.

The DIGP said that 579 officers and constables would discharge their duties in Larkana district, 785 in Kambar-Shahdadkot district, 705 in Shikarpur district, 800 in Jacobabad district and 946 in Kashmore district.

Shaikh directed all the SSPs of the division to ensure proper security for Taraveeh, Sehri, Iftar, mosques and other worship places in their respective jurisdictions.

He directed them to deploy police force at all the shopping centers in the cities and bazaars of towns for which more police pickets must also be established with increased patrolling.

He also directed them to ensure the smooth flow of traffic during peak shopping hours in all areas so that people may go freely from one market to another without any trouble. He said that a Control Room had also been established in his office to monitor the entire situation of all the districts. He further asked them to deploy more force and establish more police pickets on Jacobabad, Kashmore and Kambar-Shahdadkot districts’ bordering areas and an eye must be kept on every suspect.

DIGP also directed all the police officers and officials to perform their duties efficiently and ensure maintenance of law & order at all costs during Ramazan so that fasting people should not feel any difficulty, adding that negligence in this regard would not be tolerated.
