LAHORE – Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chairman Dr Tahirul Qadri has said that prime ministers of Pakistan and India must also work to normalise the relations between the two nations instead of nurturing their personal relationship.
He quesitoned that what use are the personal relations between the prime ministers of Pakistan and India when the cricket teams of both the countries cannot visit each other. He stated this while talking to newsmen in New Delhi on Monday, adding that the prime ministers of the two countires must work to normalise the relations between the two nations instead of nurturing their personal relationship. He said that like Pakistan there are extremist groups in India who work on their own agenda and waste their energies on issues which are non-issues.
The PAT chief said that the national honour, traditions, culture and independence of each other must be respected at all costs. He said both the countries are very rich in natural resources and the people of both the countries are known to be hard workers, as such all the resources must be spend on the welfare of the masses of both the countries.
“Terrorism is a global issue and to tackle this we all have to help each other and all cultures must come forth to solve this problem once and for all,” he said. He said all sorts of tensions on borders must be ended so that each country can concentrate on solving the terrorism and extremism issues.
The PAT chief on Tuesday will be visiting the mausoleum of the great Sufi Saint Moinuddin Chishti in Ajmer Sharif to pay his respects.
