Musharraf given two days to submit trial’s court verdict

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday granted two days to counsel of former president Pervaiz Musharraf to submit an attested copy of a trial court’s verdict that has issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Musharraf.

Musharraf’s counsel Malik Tahir Mahmood contended his client was sick and could not appear before the trail court. He stated that a medical report of his client had also been submitted before the trial court; however, the court issued non-bailable warrants of his client.

He pleaded the IHC to declare the trial court’s verdict null and void and implantation of its order should be stopped until the high court adjudicates the matter. The court gave two days time to the petitioner to submit an attested copy of the trial court’s verdict and other relevant documents.
