PIA plane meets accident at Karachi airport

KARACHI – A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) plane jarred against a tunnel after its landing at Karachi airport in Saturday’s wee hours, private TV channel reported.

According to the reports – during an accident – more than 200 passengers escaped unhurt. Flight PK782 flew into Karachi from Toronto via Islamabad. According to CIA officials, doors of the plane were stuck owing to the smash as one engine of the plane ceased working.

The official informed that the passengers – who remained stranded for over an hour – were safely taken out of the plane. The CIA sources also said the pilot had been shifted to a private hospital for medical checkup.
