ISLAMABAD: Asian Development Bank (ADB) Country Director Werner Liepach called on Finance Minister Ishaq Dar on Thursday and discussed with the minister matters pertaining to his participation in the ADB’s annual meetings in May.
He also discussed the forthcoming visit to Pakistan of the ADB vice president. The current portfolio of ADB projects for Pakistan was reviewed in detail. Discussion was also held about the future financing ADB projects with special focus on infrastructure development.
The finance minister appreciated the continued support that ADB was extending to Pakistan for socio-economic development. He welcomed the visit of the ADB’s vice president to Pakistan and added that he also looked forward to his participation in ADB’s annual meetings where he would have exchange of views with the bank’s senior management regarding financing of various projects in Pakistan.
