House burgled

ISLAMABAD: Some unidentified burglars have taken away precious cellular phone and cash from the residence of former principal information officer (PIO) in a mysterious way.

The former PIO Shabir Anwar told the Margala Police Station that he was sleeping at night when some anonymous thieves entered his house and lift the mobile phone of his grand daughter Emmy and picked Rs130,000 from the handbag of his wife.

Police has registered the case and the investigation officer of the case, Sub Inspector (SI) Muhammad Ramzan told Daily Times that the window of the house was open and it seems that an internal person in the house was involved in the theft as he knew well that where the owners keep the mobile phone and purse.
