Aisam in doubles final of ATP World Tennis

LAHORE: Pakistan tennis star Aisamul Haq Qureshi and his Croatian partner Marin Draganja on Friday stormed into the final of ATP World Tennis Championship in Marrakech, Morocco. In a nail-biting thrilling contest, Aisam and Marin overcame a strong team of India’s Rohan Bopanna and Uzbekistan’s Denis Istomin with a score of 7-6(5), 7-6(5). Earlier in Semi final Aisam and Marin caused the biggest upset of the tournament beating the top seeded pair of Robert Lindstedt of Sweden and Dominic Inglot of the United Kingdom with a score of 6-3, 7-6 (4). The winners of other semi final to be played between Czech Republic’s Pavic and New Zealand’s Michael vs Argentina’s M. Gonzalez and Guillermo Duran will face Aisam and Marin in the final on Saturday (today).
