AIOU’s Int’l conference on energy tomorrow

ISLAMABAD: An international conference on energy and climate degradation is going to take place at Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) tomorrow (Tuesday).

According to a press release issued on Sunday, a three-day conference would be attended by over 300 academicians and researchers from Pakistan, China, US, Italy, Iran, Malaysia, South Africa and Turkey will also feature. International Association for Hydrogen Energy President Dr Nejat Veziroglu will be the chief guest.

Vice Chancellor (VC) Prof Shahid Siddiqui while highlighting the significance of the conference at a briefing session said that it is the follow up of 21st UN climate change conference recently held in Paris, said Vice Chancellor Prof Shahid Siddiqui while highlighting the significance of the conference at a briefing session.

The participants will present their research-based recommendations to implement the declaration of Paris Summit that was also attended by the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. They will make critical assessment of environmental problems while giving their academic input to overcome energy shortage to reduce greenhouse carbon omissions as well.

Dr Shahid Siddiqui said that such conferences would help to highlight research-based findings, implementing the same through relevant institutions and industrial houses.
