ISLAMABAD: The relief activities are in full swing in Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) after opening of inter districts roads of the area. GB Disaster Management Authority Director General Syed Abdul Waheed Shah distributed relief items including tents, blankets, tarpaulin sheets and food packs among rain affectees in Ghizer, reported state run news channel. National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) continues relief and rehabilitation activities in the rain-hit areas of the country. In Chitral, mobile utility stores outlets have been established for affectees and are distributing commodities among the affected population. On the directives of prime minister, services of FWO in coordination with Pakistan Army have been provided to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government for speedy repair of road infrastructure. NDMA has dispatched food packs for affected population through utility outlets with the assistance of PDMA Gilgit-Baltistan.
