Meeting calls for review of audit plan 2015-16

ISLAMABAD: Auditor General of Pakistan (AGP) Rana Assad Amin on Monday convened a meeting of the director generals to review the progress of implementation of the audit plan 2015-16 and share ideas for the next year’s audit plan.

The director generals from Defence Audit wing, Corporate Audit wing, District Audit wing and Accounting Policy wing presented the progress by their respective audit offices for implementation of the audit plan. They intimated that in the light of the vision of the auditor general, they are working to come up with quality audit reports and allocating more resources for performance audit, special audit and special studies. They are also focusing on clearance of long outstanding audit paras by holding special Departmental Accounts Committee (DAC) meetings with the secretaries of ministries and departments concerned.
