President directs Mayor Ansar Aziz to ensure all civic amenities for citizens

ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain on Monday directed the newly elected Islamabad’s Mayor Sheikh Ansar Aziz to beautify the federal capital and devise a practical mechanism to solve the issues of illegal settlements and slum in the city.

He was talking to the newly elected Mayor Sheikh Ansar Aziz who called on him at the Presidency. The president hoped that the newly elected mayor of capital would utilise his capabilities in serving the people of Islamabad and provide them essential services to further improve their standard of life.

President Mamnoon Hussain said that for the first time in Islamabad’s history, governance has been transferred to the grass root level adding that measures must be taken to further enhance the beauty of Islamabad.

A press release from the President House said that the president expressed his confidence in the mayor of Islamabad and hoped that the newly elected mayor will evolve an effective setup to serve the people in the best manner.
