GWADAR – Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif on Tuesday said that officials concerned will move the cargo from China to Gwadar this year, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.
Addressing a seminar here, the army chief said that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) was a reflection of the friendship between the two countries.
Engineers of the Pakistan Army, he said, were working on the infrastructure of the multi-million dollar project.
Earlier, a Chinese official said that the Gwadar port will see roughly one million tonnes of cargo going through it by 2017.
