KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardarihas expressed deep grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Agha Salim, the renowned scholar, author of several books, novels, poetry and columnist, who passed away on Tuesday after prolong illness.
The PPP chairman paid glowing tribute to Agha Salim for his contribution in Sindhi literature, especially the translations of ‘Shah Jo Risolo’ – the poetry of Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai into English and Urdu, besides gifting wonderful novels and poetry.
“Agha Salim’s demise has created an abundant vacuum in Sindhi literature, which is hardly to be filled in near future. His memories will remain with us and all those who love and understand worth of literature in a progressive society,” he added.
