RAWALPINDI: City Traffic Police (CTP) of Rawalpindi has imposed ban on all kinds of parking including car and motorcycle on both sides of the road from Committee Chowk to Waris Khan on Murree Road.
As many as 46 warden officers, four junior wardens, lifter staff, two inspectors and two DSPs have been deployed on special duty for initiation of action against encroachments and parking on Murree Road to ensure smooth flow of traffic.
Rawalpindi Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Shoaib Khurram Janbaz said that Murree Road is a key road of Rawalpindi city and on both sides of this road furniture markets, refreshment centres, auto mechanics and electronic appliances shops are located. In this way, it serves as hub of shopping for citizens who are seen all time thronging the markets alongside this road. Therefore, complete ban has been slapped on parking of all type of vehicles and motorcycles to ensure smooth flow of traffic, he added.
