Death row convict sent to gallows in Multan

MULTAN: A death row convict Anwarul Haq was sent to gallows in the Central Jail Multan on Wednesday morning. The convict had killed his relative Ahmed over a business dispute in the Chub Kalaan area of Mian Chunnu in 2000. The session court had convicted him in the murder case. After rejection of his mercy appeal by the president, Sessions Court in Khanewal issued his death warrants. The body was handed over to his legal heirs after medico-legal formalities.
