KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Friday directed police to recover a 16-month-old boy Azaan, who was allegedly snatched from his mother by his father on April 18.
The SHC bench, headed by Justice Muhammad Kalhoro, was hearing the plea filed by Maria, the mother of the child who moved the court for the recovery of her child.
Maria submitted that her ex-husband Arshad had snatched Azaan from her. She stated that she approached the police station concerned but no action has been taken against Arshad yet. “I have come to know that Arshad has shifted my son to Karachi’s Nagan Chowrangi area,” Maira added. She requested the court to direct the authorities concerned to take measures for the recovery of her son.
