Efforts underway to eradicate dengue

RAWALPINDI: Social Welfare District Officer Aslam Maitla on Friday said that all resources are being utilised for dealing with dengue and departments concerned are fully mobilised to cope with the situation.

While speaking at a training session of dengue volunteers, he said that the representatives of people, NGOs and district government teams should play an effective role in dengue eradication campaign. He stressed the need to initiate awareness programmes among the masses for adopting precautionary measures to protect themselves from the lethal mosquito. Health Deputy District Officer (DDO) Dr Amir Sheikh, DDO Raja Aftab Ahmed and other officials of the department attended the meeting.
