Three killed in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI: An elite force constable was killed in a traffic mishap within the Saddar Bairuni police jurisdiction.

The constable identified as Mohammad Saqib was riding a motorcycle when a car on Chakri Road hit him. Rescue teams shifted the body to a local hospital for medico-legal formalities.

Similarly, at least two persons were killed on road within Kohsar police jurisdiction. According to police, a security company van hit a motorcycle on Fazal Haq Road. As a result, Aslam and Noman Jameel who are the residents of Rawalpindi were killed on the spot while the driver fled the scene. The bodies were shifted to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) for medico-legal formalities.
