ISLAMABAD: Once again the corrupt mafia of Capital Development Authority (CDA) has taken lead as deputy director enforcement was removed from his seat all of a sudden on one call from Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) Ministry because he refused to accept the undue pressure for doing illegal job.

A high ranked officer Imran, staff officer to CADD State Minister Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhary called the CDA Enforcement Deputy Director Ammadud Din again and again during last 15 days to pacify him for not taking any action against encroachment at a farm house no C17, situated at Chak Shahzad, which is owned by a person Naeem, who is the relative of Staff Officer Imran. CDA Deputy Director Ammad did not take care of the continues phone calls from the staff officer to CADD minister by keeping entire pressure and advice aside and sent the enforcement team to demolish the farm house that was allotted in 1970, along with heavy machinery. When the CDA team reached there, the allottee of the farmhouse who is a retired professor ordered his servant to open firing on it. Two CDA officials Zameer Shah and Ajmal were critically injured due to the firing. A resident of neighbouring farm house Chaudhary Atif, the brother of CADD State Minister Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhary provided shelter to CDA team during the firing in his house. He also advised the CDA officials to get registered the case with the police against those who fired on the team. The CDA Deputy Director Ammad also refused to submit application in the police station on which he was removed from the post overnight and he was posted to the post of deputy director emergency and disaster management.

The source said that the transfer was occurred without brining into the notice of the CDA Chairman Maroof Afzal as Deputy Director I (HRD) Khizar Hayat was called at the ministry at night and the transfer orders were executed. After that, some high officials from the ministry exerted the pressure on the team members, which became the victim of firing on which they submitted the application in the police station to lodge FIR against the elements who opened firing on them during official duty. CAAD Ministry as well as police station demanded these officials to add some more strict clauses in the FIR. CADD Ministry just to conceal the matter issued the transfer letter of another Deputy Director General Muhammad Ishaq in which he was posted to the post of DDG HRD on additional charge. CDA Deputy Director Ammad told Daily Times that the message was conveyed to him In this regard through somebody at night that he was posted as deputy director emergency and disaster management.

He said that two days back, Staff Officer Imran made him a threat call in which he asked him to assist the farmhouse owner regarding illegal confiscation of land in the farmhouse but he refused to carry out any wrong deed. . Member Administration Amir Ali Ahmed said that neither he has any information about the transfer nor he signed such orders. The contact with the CDA chairman was not made possible in this regard. A well-placed source told Daily Times the inside story that it was CADD State Minister Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhary who want to grab the farmhouse by using CDA. As a matter of fact, he put the pressure on CDA officials through his Staff Officer Imran. The presence of his brother at the firing scene was not an incident but the entire episode was played deliberately.
