ISLAMABAD: The10th Korean Language Speech Contest was held at the National University of Modern Languages (NUML) on Friday. Ambassador of Korea HE Dr Song Jong-hwan was the chief guest of the ceremony while NUML Rector Major General (r) ZiaUd Din Najam, Korean Embassy Cultural Counselor Kim In-Guk, NUML Director General Brig Riaz Ahmed Gondal, registrar, deans, King Sejong Institute director and Korean Language Head of Department (HoD) Dr Atif Faraz also attended the ceremony.
While speaking on the occasion, Chief Guest Dr Song Jong-hwan after listening to all the speeches made by the students said that the students spoke Korean language so well and it seems that I am in Korea today. He said that the Department of Korean language is celebrating its 10th anniversary and past 10 years were a great success as far as promotion of Korean language in Pakistan is concerned. While lauding the role of NUML, the envoy said that the Korean Embassy and NUML have great cooperative relations with each other and NUML is playing a key role to promote Korean Language and culture in Pakistan.
