Miraculous recovery of CDA gardener surprises rescue teams

ISLAMABAD: A miraculous recovery of Capital Development Authority (CDA) gardener from 150 feet deep well after 11 days surprised the rescue teams and his family members. 28 years old Muhammad Naveed was missing from last ten days.

According to reports, 28 years old CDA employ Muhammad Naveed disappeared ten days before from sector G11. His family member was continuously searching him in the area with the help of local people whereas they also sought help from the police by lodging a complaint in Shalimar Police Station for his recovery. Little girls on Saturday who were mowing the grass around an old well heard that a man is crying from the depth of a 150 feet deep well. Initially, the girls become scared but after that the girls approached the CDA guards on duty in the area and informed them about the presence of a man in the well. The guards reached on the spot and witnessed that a young boy is in the well and crying for help.

The local people also gathered on the spot and the CDA guards also called the rescue department but before their arrival on the spot, the local people with the help of CDA guards rescued Muhammad Naveed from the well. Later, the recovered CDA gardener shifted to the CDA Hospital in melody in the federal capital.

While talking to the Daily Times, Naveed’s cousin Mumraiz Ali said, “We are the residents of ‘Mara Abadi Chontra’ and Naveed was disappeared ten days before from sector G11. We searched him in our area, in shrines, hospitals and also informed the police but we did not find any clue about him”. He further said, “Naveed has some mental issues but it is the first time that he disappeared from the scene”.

Naveed himself commented on the whole episode that the well was too dark even in daylight because of its depth whereas there is no water to drink. I tried many times to climb up to come out from the well but failed because half of the well is constructed with stones and rest is with bricks”. He thanked Allah Almighty who gave him a new life as he lost his all hopes when he was in stuck the well.

CDA Hospital’s Medical Officer Dr Hassan Durrani who treated the boy said, “Medically a man can survive even more than four weeks but the Naveed’s survival is a miraculous recovery because he does not received any major energy whereas his all organs are fully functional”. He further said, “We are examining his condition and hopefully tomorrow he would be shifted to the general ward where he would remain under the observation of medical team for two or three days and if doctors will find him fit than we will discharge him from the hospital after two to four days”.

Life and death is in the hands of Allah Almighty and it was proved by Saturday’s event. The staff of CDA Hospital, patients and their attendant is visiting Muhammad Naveed’s bed to see him, as it is an extra ordinary recovery.
