ISLAMABAD: A proposal has been floated to allocate over Rs 110 million for the Polyclinic expansion project in the 2017-18 federal budget.
According to officials, the amount is far less than what was demanded by the Capital Administration and Development Division.
“Federal Ministry for Capital Administration Development Division had proposed allocation of Rs 2 billion for hospital expansion project in the federal budget for fiscal year 2017-18,” officials said.
The total cost of this expansion project has been estimated at Rs 7 billion. However, the estimated cost of the project was around Rs 4 billion in the budget for fiscal year 2016-17.
Rs 110 million was allocated for Polyclinic expansion project in 2016-17 budget.
However, Rs 100 million could not be released after a feasibility report could not be prepared.
