Two killed, four injured in road accident

SHIKARPUR: At least two passengers were killed while four others sustained grave wounds after a Qingqi rickshaw collided with tractor at Jindo-dero Bridge beside Madeji Town on Tuesday morning.

According to police, a speeding tractor and Qingqi Rickshaw collided with each other due to over speeding killing a 10 year old boy identified as Maqbool Ahmed son of Allah Dino, and Mst Soonan, aged around 50, wife of Karim Bakhsh Panhwar while other occupants of the rickshaw identified as Hafiz Allah Dino, Nasim Ahmed, Ms Hussina and Ms Sharma sustained grave wounds.

Area police rushed on the spot and shifted the bodies and injured to Madeji Tehsil Hospital from where, the bodies were handed over to their families after conducting postmortem examinations and the injured were admitted there, police added.

Area police have detained the tractor driver named Ramzan son of Hazoor Bakhsh into custody. Further investigation ongoing into the matter.
