Beauty products that coconut oil can replace

Author: Web Desk

Have you ever thought about the numerous benefits of coconut oil? Are you spending too much amount on your beauty products? Well coconut oil can save your money by replacing these makeup products and for this all you need is a bottle of coconut oil.

Eye makeup remover:

We all know how important it is to take our makeup off before bed, yes? Good. To rid your eyes of liner and mascara naturally, dab a cotton ball in some softened coconut oil and remove your makeup as you normally would.

Lip balm:

Chapped lips are painful and unsightly. Since coconut oil is a natural source of vitamin E, rubbing a little bit on your lips in place of, say, Chapstick, promotes skin repair and growth.

Shaving cream:

Maybe you’re not into the whole shaving with peanut butter thing. That’s OK. For incredibly smooth results and extra hydrated skin, there’s another natural alternative. Try replacing your shave gel with two tablespoons of coconut oil per leg, which makes for a super-easy shave and won’t clog the blade.

Makeup brush cleaner:

To make your own cleaning solution, mix two parts antibacterial soap with one part coconut oil and scrub your brushes in the solution before rinsing clean and drying.

Toothpaste:

Coconut oil has antibacterial and antifungal properties, meaning it kills germs and freshens breath, and it whitens teeth. Even if you’re not about to try oil pulling (you know, swishing coconut oil around in your mouth for 20 minutes), consider brushing your pearly whites with a mixture of one part coconut oil and one part baking soda to make them even whiter–and cleaner.

Leave-in conditioner:

Hair feeling a little dry or dull? Apply a small amount of melted coconut oil to wet hair and style as usual.

Frizz tamer:

Humidity’s no match for some strategically placed coconut oil. If you’re dealing with crazy flyaways, use a tiny amount to smooth your strands, but be sure not to overdo it–you want to look sleek, not greasy.
