KARACHI: The Police, on Wednesday has arrested two members of a gang of street criminals who were using children as the sheild during road robberies from old city area meanwhile the Karachi police arrested four more criminals involved in heinous crimes and busted a big drug racket.

A team of Nabi Bakhsh police station during a targeted operation has arrested two hardened miscreants. According to the SHO Nabi Bakhsh three armed accused person snatched a mobile from a citizen of shah Faisal on gunpoint near Marten road Karachi. The victim passed on the information immediately to police station, in the meantime, ASI Mohammad Ishaq along with police partyreached there and initiated an search operation in the area with his team members after a while he managed to arrested the two accused were arrested red handed namely Mohammad and Mohammad Azam alias papu, while their accomplice namely Osman fled away from the spot. A small kid also accompanied them who was later released after investigation and realization that he was not involved in the incident rather used as a shield.

Police recovered the Snatched mobile phone NOKIA X2 along with one TT pistol and a loaded magazine with 4 rounds from their possession.

According to the SHO both suspects were Bengalis and involved in many cases of street crimes. They are using small kids for their shelter so that police could not arrest them.

Accused in their statements have admitted that they had planned to rob people during the Ramdan at some specific places such as near Empress Market, Zainab Market, near Tariq Road, and on MA Jinnah Road.

According to police these types of criminals are spoiling the future of little Kids by making them habitual of crimes from very young age, they also used them as a shield when ever police goes after them to arrest but refrains to fire on them because of the child.

Meanwhile during patrolling a police party of Super Market Police Station found two suspicious persons who were identified as Murad Bux and Muhammed Faisal, during physical search police recovered one kg hashish and two illegal pistols.

According to the police both accused were arrested who disclosed in the initial interrogation that they were a part of a big drug selling racket and upon their nomination police also arrested accused namely Muhammad Sagheer and Sami ullah and recovered one and half kg Heroin worth 3 hundred thousand.

Police has registered cases against the four drug dealers and its sellers and has launched a search to nab their other comrades.
