BAHAWALPUR: District and SessionsJudge Rehan Bashir inaugurated the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Centre in the District Court on Thursday. Addressing a ceremony at thenewly establishedCentre, he said the ADR system would help resolve the matters of the people. At the centre, parties resolve issues through dialogue mutually, he said. Additional session judges, civil judges and advocates were also present.
Murder case: The district and sessions court sentenced a convict to 49 years imprisonment for murder. The decision was announced by Additional District and Sessions Judge Syed Jehangir Ali Shah. The prosecution told the court that Muhammad Munir had killed 14-year-old Mehboob Alam. The Sama Satta police registered a case against Munir Ahmed and presented a challan before the court. After hearing the arguments, the judge sentenced him to 49 years rigorous imprisonment along with a Rs 210,000 fine.
