ISLAMABAD: Opposition leader Syed Khurshid Ahmed Shah has said that he has not seen the text of the letter written by the government to the chief justice of the Supreme Court (SC) and he cannot say anything in this respect because he is not sure the government has dispatched the letter or not.

“The government should work out terms of reference of the commission on Panama leaks in consultation with the opposition. The text of the letter written by the government to the C J has not come before us. It is not known whether the letter has been written to the CJ or not. The government should finalise the TORs of the commission in consultation with the opposition. It will be premature to talk about the letter on the commission,” he said while talking to the media here on Saturday.

He said that media’s role was very vital in the development of the country. The media had an equal share in the national development. “You should present the things in a positive manner before the people,” he said.

He went on to say that the Sindh government was doing better in the agriculture sector. It was trying to take better steps, he added. He said that a ban had been slapped on rice growing in certain areas and action would be taken against those who would violate the ban, he warned.
