Commission demand of 200m people: SC judge

Author: Online

ISLAMABAD: Justice Dost Muhammad of the Supreme Court (SC) has said that the commission on Panama leaks is the demand of 200 million people of Pakistan. Talking to a private TV channel on Saturday, the judge observed that government and opposition parties’ attitude towards the inquiry commission on Panama leaks was not balanced. He said the opposition was scoring points on the formation of the commission. He observed, “Pakistan has given us everything. The system is not robust due to a lack of continuation of democracy. The continuity of electoral process works as filter.” He said the government had broadened the scope of the terms of reference in respect of the inquiry commission. He said, “If an accuser is a thief then investigation should be conducted against him too. The probe into the Panama leaks is the right of 200 million people and no one can snatch this right.”
